A personal reimagining of the Big Friendly Giants workshop adapted from the Roald Dahl book and films.
The project started as a basic idea of creating a series of jars with fairy like effects, using screen grabs from the Disney 2016 remake to base some of the models from.
The project started out as a personal piece and transformed into a birthday present for a friend, the project took on a life of its own and became something magical.
The environment was modelled in Blender version 2.8 and 2.81, rendered with Cycles and textured using the Allegorithmic Substance suite.
The final scene with everything populating it took approximately 8 hours to render, that was with each duplicate mesh only being object data and not a physical mesh, the particles being on planes with alphas.
Rendered with a Nvidia RTX 2070 Graphics Card, Corsair DDR4 Vengeance 16GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 3 2300X CPU.
Attached are a series of images showing the assets and their individual wireframes.
Thank you, bless you all!
